It is with great pleasure that we invite you to our annual 2B an Architect
event on March 26, 2016 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the Latino Cultural Center. The 2B an Architect event
is the starting point for high school students in North Texas interested
in a career in architecture
The
Educational Outreach Committee, in collaboration with community
partners, reaches out to all North Texas school districts to attract and
inform high school students about the opportunities in a career in
architecture and allied fields. This event will bring together students
with interest in various disciplines of design: architecture,
engineering, and construction science. We have a very diverse student
body and the majority of our students are juniors and seniors.
The
events of the day will include a college fair and a panel discussion
comprised of practicing architects, interns, current students, and
professors from local universities. This event is free for high school
students to attend.
When: March 26, 2016 – from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Where: Latino Cultural Center
2600 Live Oak Street
Dallas, TX 75204

Most Important Design Jobs Of The Future
What will you do in the future? The article below from FastCompany provides some insights on possible position in the Design Disciplines.http://www.fastcodesign.com/3054433/design-moves/the-most-important-design-jobs-of-the-future
"Here are 18 of the most important design jobs of the future, as identified by the men and women who will no doubt do much of the hiring. Most looked three to five years out, but some peered farther into the future (see: organ designer)."

Perhaps not surprising, many of the current position in design did not exist over 25 years ago. So, what will you do in your future. Whatever it is, use your design talents to make your future career.
